Alex Graduated from the University of Dundee in 2006. He has worked since then in Kirkcaldy and Edinburgh prior to becoming the principal dentist at Montgomery Street. In 2012 he passed the required examinations to become a Member of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. In 2018 he Graduated with Merit from the University of Edinburgh after completing a Masters Degree in Primary Dental Care. Later in 2018 he was awarded a Membership in Primary Dental Care by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh having presented a portfolio of his dental treatment cases. In addition to these qualifications, he attends several dental courses every year and has gained experience in restoring dental implants.

Outside work Alex has a family, and has two young daughters who keep him occupied and entertained.

In his leisure time, he enjoys surfing, rock climbing and cooking. He is a keen runner and has taken part in marathons and ultra marathons, including the 53 mile Highland Fling on the West Highland Way. He plans to complete the full West Highland Way race in the coming years.
